Our Fundraising Events

The teamwork that the Faith Tilk Memorial Fund has inspired amongst family, friends, neighbours, and co-workers has been overwhelming. The wellspring of selflessness that has been ignited in Faith's memory is a true blessing. Here are some of the events that have helped the fund surpass the $160,000 mark.

Faith Tilk Memorial Soccer Tournament - June 2007 to present

To commemorate Faith's love of soccer, the first annual Faith Tilk Memorial Soccer Tournament began in June 2007. At that inaugural event, the tournament was won by a team comprised of Faith's close friends. Every Father's Day weekend since then, the tournament and barbecue have been an early highlight of the soccer season.

Run for Hospice - September 2007

Some events get their energy from the determination of one person. In this case, that person was Tom Forbes. An avid runner, Tom was instrumental in creating an opportunity to raise money for the Faith Tilk Memorial Fund through the Run for Hospice, which gave participants and donors the option to designate funds to our cause.

Faith's Gift Pink Tie Gala & Silent Auction - October 2007

On October 26, 2007, a very special event at FireRock Golf Club took place - the one and only Faith's Gift Pink Tie Gala & Silent Auction. Over the course of that magical evening, $64,000 was raised through the generosity of the 200+ people at the event, and the many donators and sponsors of the festivities.
